British Photographer-Artist Clare Newton photographs an array of subjects from historical structures (many of which are lost to the regeneration) to aspirational people such as UK No1 Female Boxer Marianne Marston, George Anderson Multi-marathon runner or Paralympic star Andrea Green.
But it is the intricate montages that make Clare’s artwork stand out. In 2012 as part of the Cultural Olympics program, Clare made the World’s Longest Composit Photograph and won a double Guinness world record.
My work is shaped by my panorama experiences and giant outdoor public displays. Each piece portrays careful research and observation into the subject, then combining the information gathered and the imagery into a new perspective, immersing the viewer into a visual experience.
